ASCO Institute receives international quality certificate

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC (ASCO) Caspian Marine Design Research Institute ("Xezerdenizlayihe ETI") was awarded a certificate confirming compliance with the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System standard, the agency told Report.

The document was given as a result of an audit conducted by the Bureau Veritas classification society.

The ISO 9001: 2015 provides state-of-the-art international standards that define certificate management and customer satisfaction. It will allow the Institute to participate in new projects, improve the quality of work, and ensure sustainable development.

The Institute, which has been operating since 1930, is currently designing new ships for the Caspian Oil Fleet. These ships are built at the "Zigh" Ship Repair and Construction Yard. The Institute is successfully implementing projects for equipment with a capacity of 300 kW, diving for work in areas with a depth of up to 60 meters, and passenger boats for 70 people to transport workers to coastal offshore oil facilities.
