Armenian authorities studying possibility of restarting Goris Airport

The Ministry of Territorial Development and Infrastructures of Armenia is conducting preliminary studies to restart Goris Airport, Report informs via Sputnik-Armenia.

The ministry is conducting a preliminary study on the relaunch of Goris Airport, including the restoration of the terminal and the runway.

The ministry also noted that the cost and timing of restoration work can be discussed after the completion of the studies.

Goris Airport was built and started operating in the late 70s, accepting up to eight flights per day. An-2 and Yak-40 planes used to fly there from Yerevan.
