Alternative route proposed in connection with repair of BTK Georgian section

ADY Container LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), has presented an alternative route to customers in connection with repair and restoration work on the Georgian section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway line, Report informs referring to ADY Container.

Cargo will be delivered via the new route by ships from the Turkish ports of Derinca, Mersin, Alsancak, Marport and Evyap to the Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi. In ports, containers will be reloaded onto platforms and delivered by rail to the port of Baku. Then the cargo will be sent to the ports of Aktau (Kazakhstan) and Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan), and from there by rail to destinations in Central Asia.

“This new rail-sea link will ensure the timely delivery of goods to destination stations and the integrity of the supply chain,” ADY Container said in a statement.
