ADY Express inks protocol to deepen co-op in freight traffic along Middle Corridor

ADY Express, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), signed a series of important agreements aimed at advancing international cooperation during the Logitrans Türkiye 2024 exhibition, held in Istanbul, Report informs, citing ADY Express.

One of the key achievements was the signing of a memorandum of strategic partnership with Neptun Logistics LTD, based in Shenzhen. The document outlines plans to strengthen partnership relations and develop block train services for freight transportation between China and Europe, enhancing efficiency and accelerating logistics processes along the Middle Corridor.

Additionally, a protocol was signed between ADY Express and Pasifik Eurasia to deepen cooperation in freight transportation along the Middle Corridor in both directions using the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway.

According to the agreement, a block train will depart from Istanbul every Friday towards Azerbaijan and onward to Central Asia and China. In the opposite direction, a similar block train will depart from the Alat railway station every Wednesday towards Türkiye. These block trains will operate on a permanent basis, significantly improving the efficiency and reliability of transportation along the route.

The agreements emphasize the importance of ADY Express's collaboration with international partners, contributing to the development of transit freight through Azerbaijan's territory.
