In January-June 2025, Azerbaijan exported over 23,501 tons of polypropylene in primary forms, valued at approximately $27.9 million, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.
According to customs declarations, this represents a 0.9% decrease in volume and a 10% growth in value of exports compared to the same period in 2024.
Polypropylene accounted for 1.59% of Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector exports and 0.22% of the country's total exports.
Overall, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with other countries worth $24.4 billion in the first six months of 2025. Of that, $12.878 billion fell to exports and $11.522 billion fell to imports. During this period, exports increased by 0.2 percent, while imports grew by 29.9 percent.
