Turkish company to invest over $12M manats in Azerbaijan's Aghdam Industrial Park

Türkiye's Birlik Deri has received a resident status in the Aghdam Industrial Park, which is managed by the Agency for Development of Economic Zones of Azerbaijan, Report informs referring to the company.

The company plans to invest 20.8 million manats ($12.235 million) in establishing leather and leather goods production in the industrial park.

Thus, the number of residents in the Aghdam Industrial Park has reached 28.

The new project will create more than 250 jobs. The enterprise will use advanced technologies from leading countries in this industry - Italy, Türkiye and South Korea.

The manufactured products will be supplied to both Azerbaijan's domestic market and for export.

To date, 28 companies have been granted resident status with total investments of 260 million manats ($152.941 million). Another four companies have received non-resident status.

It is expected that all these enterprises will create about 2,300 jobs. More than 92 million manats ($54.117 million) have already been invested, and over 370 jobs have been created.
