Rauf Valiyev: ASCO collects 289 tons of polymer-based waste

Azerbaijan Caspian Sea Shipping CJSC (ASCO) collected 289 tons of polymer-based waste and 56 tons of plastic-based waste in 2022-2023, Rauf Valiyev, chairman of ASCO’s Board of Directors, said during the presentation of the ArtPlast project in Baku, under the motto “Less plastic, more life: together for a clean sea!”

Valiyev mentioned that the collected waste was delivered to certified recycling organizations.

"ASCO strives to align its activities with the government’s ecological policies. We are committed to achieving zero emissions in the shipping industry by 2050. This goal requires the adoption of new technological services and significant funding. However, we are confident that we will overcome these challenges and work diligently towards this objective," Valiyev said.
