Azerbaijan has chosen the policy of developing industrial production as the leading direction for the development of the non-oil sector, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at the groundbreaking ceremony for the drug production enterprise Gen Pharma Caucasus Manufacturing Operations, Report informs.
The minister noted that this project is another manifestation of the comprehensively developed relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, and will be the result of direct investment by a Turkish company in Azerbaijan.
“The production of medicines is of particular importance for each state. Any resource is exhaustible and has a limit. However, these limits can only be expanded on the basis of human capital,” the minister noted.
“The activities of this enterprise are a step towards the development of the pharmaceutical industry,” he added.
