Japanese companies may invest in Azerbaijan's industrial zones

Today, a delegation of Japanese companies led by the president of ITOCHU Oil Exploration Co. Ltd., Takumi Hiraga, discussed the possibilities of investing in industrial zones in Azerbaijan and cooperation issues with the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA), Report informs, citing the Agency.

The delegation visited the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park under the management of EZDA.

The representatives of the company were informed about the industrial zones operating in Azerbaijan, the favorable investment conditions created for entrepreneurs, the applied tax and customs benefits, and the products of the industrial zones. A presentation was delivered about the industrial zones. At the meeting, the investment of Japanese companies in industrial zones, export possibilities of products of the industrial zones, and other issues of cooperation were discussed, and questions of company representatives were answered.

Then the Japanese delegation got acquainted with the work done in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park and the production process at the park's resident STP LLC cable and electrical equipment factories.
