To date, more than 6.8 billion manats ($3.998 billion) have been invested in industrial zones in Azerbaijan, and over 10,500 permanent jobs have been created, Report informs, citing the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones of the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry.
According to the agency, in the next stage of existing projects, it is planned to invest an additional 1 billion manats ($588.078 million) in industrial zones and create more than 9,400 new jobs.
"Since 2013, 157 business entities with a total investment value of 7.88 billion manats ($4.633 billion) have been granted resident status in industrial zones," the agency said.
