Folk crafts can become one of the main factors for economic development and employment in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev said at the opening ceremony of the scientific-practical conference on the topic "Cultural economy in Azerbaijan: development impulses from Shusha", organized by the Ministry of Culture in Shusha city together with the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education, Report informs.
According to him, the implementation of the "Strategy for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026", as well as ensuring the "Great Return" to the territories liberated from occupation, will lead to serious changes in the business environment, and the reintegration of the liberated territories will have a serious impact on the dynamics economic development.
Aliyev believes that there is a great potential in Azerbaijan for the development of folk crafts as an important sector of the economy.
"The globalization of the economy not only opens up new prospects for all areas of Azerbaijan's integration into the world economy, but also poses a number of challenges. A flexible and adequate approach to these challenges, as well as the effective use of opportunities, are important issues for our economy," he noted.
