Since the beginning of this year, excluding the Azerbaijan International Operating Company, there has been an actual increase in private sector investment of up to 11% compared to the same period last year, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at the 25th International Business Forum (IBF) in Baku, Report informs.
"To date, the country has issued investment promotion documents for more than 510 investment projects estimated at 4.6 billion manats. These are mainly projects implemented in the regions of the country," he noted.
According to the minister, in the first nine months of this year, Azerbaijan boosted non-oil exports by 41% compared to the same period last year, increasing its share in the gross domestic product (GDP) from 6% to 7.7%, and achieved a rise of about 60% non-oil exports.
"By the end of this year, the value of our non-oil exports should not be less than $ 2.4 billion," the minister said.
