In the next phase of existing projects in Azerbaijan, it is planned to invest more than 1 billion manats ($580 million) in industrial zones and create over 8,400 new jobs.
According to Report, Elchin Kazimov, head of the press service of the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones under the Economy Ministry, made this statement at the 4th Azerbaijan International Exhibition on Restoration, Reconstruction and Development of Karabakh (Rebuild Karabakh) held within the framework of the Caspian Construction Week.
Kazimov said that 153 business entities have been granted resident status in industrial zones: "To date, entrepreneurs have invested more than 6.8 billion manats ($4 billion) in industrial zones. More than 10,500 permanent jobs have been created."
