In the next five years, the non-oil/gas industry in Azerbaijan will grow by an average of 8.3% annually, Report informs, citing the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026 approved by President Ilham Aliyev today.
According to the strategy, the share of industrial zones in non-oil/gas industry production will be 15%, and their share in non-oil/gas industry exports will be 25%,
The strategy projects the information and communication sector to grow by an average of more than 10% annually and the construction sector to increase by about 3%. In 2026, the added value created in the tourist accommodation and public catering sector will increase by 1.5 times compared to 2019.
