Azerbaijan cooperates with WEF on three platforms

“We are currently working with the World Economic Forum on three main platforms,” said Tamerlan Taghiyev, executive director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the IV Industrial Revolution under the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry, Report informs.

“These platforms include artificial intelligence and machine learning (1), internet of things and urban transformation (2), and digital commerce (3). Events are held through these platforms. On February 23 this year, the official opening ceremony of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the IV Industrial Revolution took place. Sessions dedicated to artificial intelligence were organized. An exchange of views has taken place on the preparation of a national strategy on artificial intelligence for Azerbaijan, as well as on the application of technologies based on artificial intelligence,” he noted.

Taghiyev reminded that a memorandum of understanding on digital trade was signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan in April 2021.

“Today, a working group of 11 state structures has been created, the coordination of which is entrusted to our center. We also carry out activities for the development of the IV industrial revolution, the digital economy in Azerbaijan. A working group of 22 state institutions on the technologies of the IV industrial revolution has been created. Its coordination is also entrusted to our center,” he said.
