Baku. 25 September. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijani judoka Elmar Gasimov encountered Danilo Pantic in the 1/16 final of the 100 kg competitions as part of the world judo championship underway in Baku.
Report informs that Gasimov won by ippon in 1 minute and 58 seconds. In the 1/8 final he is to compete Varlam Liparteliani.

Azerbaijani judoka Elmar Gasimov has started participation in the world championship in Baku with a victory.
According to Report, in the 100 kg competitions the 28-year-old athlete beat his Swedish rival Martin Pacek by ippon in the 41st second of the 1/32 final. In the 1/16 final he will encounter Montenegrin Danilo Pantic. Meanwhile, Zelim Kotsoiev lost to Joakim Dvarby of Sweden in 3 minutes and 8 seconds following the start.
