Vice President of Ukrainian Chess Federation killed in war

Vice President of the Ukrainian Chess Federation Artem Sachuk has been killed in the war, the Ukrainian Chess Federation said in a statement, Report informs via Pravda.

“Ukrainian military volunteer Artem Sachuk, a well-known chess player, candidate for master of sports, vice president of the Ukrainian Chess Federation, and organizer of many national and international competitions, was killed in the war of liberation against the Russian occupiers,” the statement reads.

The circumstances of his death are under investigation.
