Tokyo-2020: Six more Azerbaijani Paralympians to vie for medals today

Six more Azerbaijan Paralympians will compete at the Tokyo-2020 Summer Paralympic Games.

Report informs that one is a shooter, two are taekwondo fighters, and three are athletes.

Yelena Taranova will test her strength in shooting sports in the 25-meter distance at 03:45 Baku time.

In the 49-kilogram event, taekwondo fighter Royala Fataliyeva will face Thailand's Kwansuda Phuangkitcha, while Imamaddin Khalilov will encounter Russia's Danila Sidorov in the 61-kilogram event. Their bouts start at 05:00 Baku time.

Para-athlete Orkhan Gasimov will vie for a medal in javelin throwing. He will compete at 14:00 Baku time.

Yuliya Yanovskaya and Lamiya Valiyeva will compete in 400-meter races at 16:17 Baku time. Valiyeva earlier claimed silver in 100-meter races.

The Azerbaijani team is in tenth place among teams after securing 11 gold, one silver, and four bronze medals.
