Three more Azerbaijani athletes disqualified for doping use

Baku. 23 January. REPORT.AZ/ Three more Azerbaijani athletes have been disciplined for doping use.

Report informs with reference to the official website of the Azerbaijani National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) that these are wrestlers Jalal Suleymanov, Umar Israilov and cyclist Gadir Mustafayev.

All samples taken from athletes revealed the banned substance or its metabolite or markers. In addition, Suleymanov was disqualified for violation of the ban on participation during the disqualification.

Oxandrolone metabolite was detected in his organism and he was disqualified from January 18, 2018 to 96 months - January 18, 2026.

Drostanolone metabolite was detected in Israelov’s blood samples and he was disqualified for 48 months. His penalty has been calculated from March 28, 2018. Mustafayev's disqualification will last for 48 months from November 19, 2018.

Notably, AMADA has imposed sanctions on 39 athletes for doping use.
