Teymur Rajabov wins World Cup final

Azerbaijani chess player Teymur Radjabov played his third final match at the World Cup held in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia.

Report informs that the 32-year-old grandmaster faced Chinese Ding Liren. The meeting ended with Rajabov’s victory on the 46th move. Following this result, the Azerbaijani chess player managed to reach draw - 1.5: 1.5.

The finalists will have their last meeting on October 3. If the winner is not identified in that match, then the tie-break will be held.

The prize fund of the tournament is $1.6 million. The winner will receive $110,000, while the finalist gets $80,000.
