Shahriyar Mammadyarov loses two positions in FIDE ranking

Baku. 1 February. REPORT.AZ/ The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has published its ranking for February.

Report informs citing the website of the organization that Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov descended two positions in the ranking as compared to the previous month. At present, our 33-year-old grandmaster is fifth with 2,790 points.

The owner of the world crown Magnus Carlsen (2,845) still ranks first, while Fabiano Caruana (28) ranks second and Ding Liren (2,812) third and Anish Giri fourth (2,797).

As for other Azerbaijani players, Teymur Rajabov (2,756) is on the 13th place, Arkady Naidich (2,732) ranks 22nd , Rauf Mammadov (2,703) is on the 42nd place, Eltaj Safarli (2,681) remained on the same 63rd position , while Gadir Huseynov (2,664) ranks 82nd in the rating.

The rating among women Gunay Mammadzade (2422) ranks 49th is the rating among women, while Xanim Bulajeva (2,397) is 64th, and Gulnar Mammadova (2,368) is 99th.
