Russian athletes barred from World Games opening ceremony in China

Russian athletes will not be allowed to attend the opening ceremony of the World Games to be held in China, a source in the Russian team told TASS, Report informs, Report informs.

According to the source, the International World Games Association will not allow athletes competing under a neutral flag to participate in the event.

The Russian representative also stated that they will not attend the ceremony even as spectators.

The World Games will be held in Chengdu from August 7 to 17. Russian athletes will participate in the tournament as individual neutral athletes.
