"I would like to thank the President of the National Paralympic Committee, Ilgar Rahimov, for the victory," Azerbaijani para-swimmer Roman Salei, who grabbed three gold medals at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games, told reporters during a reception in Baku.
The three-time Paralympic champion recalled that he started his career in the national team of Azerbaijan: "I dedicate my victories to the glorious people of Azerbaijan. Thank you all very much."
Notably, Raman Salei took first place in the 100-meter freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly.
