Putin suspended as honorary president of International Judo Federation

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been suspended as a honorary president of the International Judo Federation, Report informs, citing the Federation's official website.

"The International Judo Federation announces that Mr. Vladimir Putin and Mr. Arkady Rotenberg have been removed from all positions held in the International Judo Federation," the federation said in a statement.

Putin has been the honorary president and envoy of the federation. Arkady Rotenberg became the member of the IJF executive committee as "development manager" in 2013 and was re-elected to this position in 2017.
