Baku. 1 December. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was unanimously re-elected the President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC).
Report informs, Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov told reporters.
He said that the election took place within today's Report-Election Conference of the NOC: "Attending NOC members re-elected the president as a NOC president unanimously, with great enthusiasm and joy. On this occasion, we'd like to congratulate the President on behalf of the sports community. Foundation of our achievements was established by Mr. President, a true friend of athletes, providing great assistance and support to sport. We wish him great success."
Notably, President Ilham Aliyev has been leading the NOC since 1997.
