Azerbaijani Paralympian Ilham Zakiyev, who won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Summer Paralympic Games, has shared the secret of his success, Report informs.
Answering journalists' questions at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport upon returning to his homeland, the parajudoka noted that the key to any success is working on yourself.
"If a person works on himself or herself, they can reach any height, nothing is impossible. If you do what you love, you will definitely achieve results," Zakiyev noted.
He also spoke about his performance at the Paralympics, noting the poor organization of the tournament.
"Unfortunately, due to injuries, I was not able to prepare properly. But despite this, I returned to my homeland with a bronze medal. In general, at the Olympics, Paralympic Games, any medal is equal to victory," Ilham Zakiyev added.
