The opening ceremony of the Lankaran Open festival, organized within the framework of the Chess Tour Azerbaijan project initiated by the Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACF), has been held, Report informs, citing the ACF.
Four countries are represented in the tournament. A total of 38 chess players are competing in group A, while 140 chess players are in group B.
The Lankaran Open will be held in nine rounds according to the Swiss system and will conclude on July 13. Rapid and blitz tournaments will also be organized as part of the festival.
