Japanese Baku World Judo Champions share their expression

Baku. 22 September. REPORT.AZ/ Athletes from Japan Uta Abe and her older brother Hifumi Abe, who won gold medals in the Baku World Judo Championship on the same day shared their expression, Report informs.

Hifumi Abe, who won gold medal in the category up to 66 kilograms, said he is aspired by his sister’s victory: ‘I had targeted to become the World Championship for the second time. However, more important is that I won the gold medal together with my sister. Her victory motivated me and increased by power in the final competition. I’m happy that my sister won the gold medal. I’m proud of her and respect him as a judoka’.

Uta Abe, who won gold medal in the category up to 52 kilograms, also said that she had targeted to win gold medal: ‘Of course, my first goal was to win the gold medal. However, both of us had targeted to win the gold medal on the same day. Before my final competition, I watched my brother’s semifinal copmetition excitedly. As he qualified for final, I felt comfortable at my final competition’.
