The coronavirus outbreak continues to play havoc with the Indian athletes' Olympics dreams. The latest casualty is the training camp of the 10-member Indian Greco-Roman wrestling team that has been camping in Baku, Azerbaijan, for the last two weeks.
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India asked the team to return to India as soon as possible after the local authorities informed the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) that they are closing the borders very soon. Thus, India's Greco-Roman wrestling team has suspended its training camp in Baku.
Considering the situation, the Indian Wrestling Federation (WFI) has contacted the country's embassy in Baku to ensure that, athletes can return home safely. Indian national wrestling team will leave for their country on March 16, evening.
Notably, the preparation process of the team was scheduled for March 21.
