Head of Azerbaijan Judo Federation appointed to post in int'l organization

President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation Rashad Nabiyev has been appointed to a post in the International Judo Federation (IJF), Report informs.

As seen on the official website of the IJF, Nabiyev has been appointed chairman of the New Technologies and High Performance Commission at the IJF.

The commission deals with the issues of modern technologies, their adaptation and application in the interests of athletes to achieve better results.

The commission director will be David Kevkhishvili, a Georgian athlete, coach and manager with experience in judo.

The chairman and director will develop judo, promote the development of this sport, integrate it as a modern tool for the personal improvement of athletes, as well as for the benefit of society.

Rashad Nabiyev was elected President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation on November 1, 2021.
