Baku. 1 January. REPORT.AZ/ The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has announced the first rating list of 2019. Report informs citing the official website of organisation, compared to December, Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov is still on third place. The 33-year-old grandmaster with 2817 points is behind the Norwegian champion Magnus Carlsen with 18 points and Fabiano Karuana, the winner of the second-place Bidders Tournament with 11 points.
As for other Azerbaijani chess players, Teymur Rajabov is the 14th (2757 points), Arkadi Najich 21st (2734), Rauf Mammadov - 42 (423), Eltac Safarli – 62 (2681), Gadir Huseynov - 81 (2664) on the stairs.
As for female players Gunay Mammadzade – 49 (2422) Khanim Balajayeva - 65 (2397) and Gulnar Mammadova - 99 with (2368).
