Brawl took place among Turkish and Georgian boxers in European Championship - VIDEO

Targu Jiu. 2 April. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijani and Turkish representatives were not treated with fairness in U-22 European Boxing Championship in Targu Jiu, Romania.

The Eastern European Bureau of Report News Agency informs, in either case they were defeated by local and Georgian rivals.

Although, in the final of the continental championship, member of Azerbaijani national team Tayfur Aliyev, 56 kg, who fought against the Romanian Robert Jitaru and Turkish boxer Tuğrulhan Erdemir 64 kg who met Georgian Lasha Guruli showed better performance and confidently fought referees acted unfair against Turkish and Azerbaijani boxers giving victory to Georgian fighters. 

As a result, dissatisfaction of Turkish and Azerbaijani athletes led to the brawl of Turkish and Georgian boxers. 

Security officers had defused the situation.
