Ex-kickboxer elected president of Association of Azerbaijanis in Britain

An Azerbaijani living in London, ex-kickboxer Hafiz Bakhshaliyev, has been elected president of the Association of British Azerbaijanis recently created in the United Kingdom.

Report informs, the athlete wrote on his Facebook page. Bakhshaliyev expressed his gratitude to the group of promoters who found him to be eligible for a post.

“I am sure there are people in Britain who are more worthy than I to become the head of this society. However, to begin with, as a true Azerbaijani, I considered it my duty not to give up and take this burden upon myself. With your help, fighting for the sake of this noble cause, worthily representing our Motherland in this country, we will try to ensure the unity, equality of our citizens, together to be stronger than the enemy, ” – he said.
