Azerbaijani wrestler beats Armenian opponent, claims world crown

Baku. 19 November. REPORT.AZ/ The U-23 world wrestling championship in Romanian capital Bucharest is nearing completion.

Report informs that on the sixth day of competitions our team was represented by four members in freestyle wrestling.

In his debut Shamil Zubairov did not leave any chance to his Armenian opponent. The member of our team also easily upset the Kazakh rival. By beating an Indian representative he rose to the semifinal. The bout with the Ukrainian representative was dramatic. Zubairov won by scoring the decisive point 6 seconds before the end of the bout with a minimal gap. The team member defeated his Russian opponent Aslanbek Sotiev in the final and was declared the world champion.
