Azerbaijani schoolchildren win 20 medals in Serbia

The World School Sports Games have ended in the Serbian capital Belgrade

Report informs, citing the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, that following the Azerbaijani schoolchildren who won medals in karate, judo and taekwondo competitions, wrestlers also brought awards to the team.

In freestyle wrestling events, teenagers won eight medals. Among them, Sadig Huseynov (44 kg) and Jamal Abbasov (52 kg) defeated all rivals and claimed gold.

Elton Mammadov (38 kg), Elgun Mammadov (44 kg), Ravan Rahimli (48 kg) and Ismayil Asadli (85 kg) reached the final and grabbed silver. Two more wrestlers - Isa Yusifov (44 kg) and Abdulla Ibrahimov (75 kg) - claimed bronze.

Azerbaijani schoolchildren finished the competition with 20 medals.
