Azerbaijani karate fighters leave for Russia to participate in tournament

On October 13-15, in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, the Eurasia Cup 2023 international festival tournament on martial arts and a seminar with the participation of experienced Koshiki karate-do coaches will be held on the eve of the aforementioned event, Report informs.

The team of Azerbaijan Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karate-do Koshiki Karate Federation was also invited to those competitions in kata and kumite, as well as to the seminar.

A team consisting of 1 coach and 11 athletes was formed by the Federation and sent to Russia.

Fuad Salayev (10-11 years, 30 kg), Tuncay Khudakarimov (12-13 years, 37 kg), Khanhasan Feyziyev (12-13 years, 37 kg), Mirrauf Alizade (12-13 years, +50 kg), Musa Akbarli (14-15 years, 50 kg), Ramal Fatullayev (14-15 years, +70 kg), Kanan Ismayilzade (16-17 years, 65 kg), Eyvazkhan Malikov (16-17 years, 75 kg), Zeynab Movsumzade (12-13 years old, 45 kg), Fatima Movsumzade (14-15 years old, 50 kg), and Sevinj Movsumzade (+18 years, 55 kg and 65 kg) will compete in the tournament.

Nazim Movsumzada, head coach of the Azerbaijan Koshiki Karate-do Federation, will hold a joint seminar with Alexander Sokovikov, the president of the Russian Koshiki Karate-do Federation, on October 13 within the framework of the tournament. He is also expected to participate in the kata competition among veterans.

Each athlete of the team will compete in two sections - kata and kumite. The main competitions will take place on October 14-15.
