Azerbaijani judokas who won gold medals at Paris Olympics return to Baku

Judokas Hidayat Heydarov and Zelym Kotsoiev, who won gold medals at the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, and some other members of the Azerbaijani national team have returned to Baku, Report informs.

The athletes were met by the public, fans and reporters at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Hidayat Heydarov won the Olympic gold in the 73 kg weight category, and Zelym Kotsoiev - 100 kg. As of August 4, Azerbaijan with two gold medals ranks 19th among 206 countries. Only 62 countries have made it to the medal table so far.

Alfonso Dominguez (92 kg), representing Azerbaijan in boxing, has reached the semi-finals, thereby guaranteeing the national team at least a bronze medal.
