Azerbaijan Formula 1 and Formula 2 Grand Prix will start today, June 10, Report informs.
The Formula 1 race will go down in history as the 6th Grand Prix in Baku. Fans can watch the Grand Prix from the stands after a 3-year break. Two freestyle races will be held within Formula 1 and a freestyle and qualifying round within Formula 2 on the first day.
The gates of the fan zone in the Baku City Circuit will open at 10:00 (GMT+4). Formula 2 drivers will be on track first. A total of 22 drivers from 11 teams will participate in the freestyle racing. The first freestyle racing in Formula 1 will begin. The day will end with the qualifying round of the second-tier tournament and, finally, the second freestyle racing of Formula 1.
Current world champion Red Bull's Max Verstappen is the leader with 125 points. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc is second with 116 points and Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez is third with 110 points.
In Formula 2, Felipe Drugovich from MP Motorsport, Theo Pourchaire from ART Grand Prix, and Jehan Daruvala from Prema Racing are in the lead.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix ends on June 12. Former Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg, former Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo (2017), currently representing McLaren, Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes (2018), his teammate Valtteri Bottas (2019), and Red Bull's Sergio Perez (2021) won previous races in Baku. The 2020 Azerbaijan Grand Prix was canceled due to a coronavirus pandemic.
