The National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) have signed a memorandum of mutual understanding during the first state visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Italy.
The document is designed to support the development of the Olympic Movement between the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan (MOC) and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), a peacekeeping mission, and the protection of the moral and ethical values of sports.
The Azerbaijani NOC agreed to assist the Italian partner in summer sports. In turn, Italy will help Azerbaijan with winter disciplines. In light of the ongoing international fight against doping, the parties pledged to support all efforts to prevent the use of drugs in their respective countries, both individually and collectively.
