Azerbaijani taekwondo athlete Salima Guliyeva has secured a silver medal at the European Taekwondo Championships held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Representing the Alpman club, Guliyeva showcased her exceptional skills in the 46 kg weight category.
In a semifinal match, Guliyeva faced off against Germany's Lilly Ettelbrück and emerged victorious with a score of 2:0, earning her a spot in the final.
The final bout saw Guliyeva pitted against Türkiye's Nazli Kesgin. Despite her valiant efforts, Guliyeva fell short, with Kesgin claiming the gold medal with a score of 2:0.
