AFFA staff attend UEFA Seminar

Farrukh Ismayilov, head of the Mass Football Department at the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), along with senior specialists Orkhan Mikayilli and Ziya Safarov, attended a UEFA-organized seminar in Lisbon, Portugal, focused on Football in Schools, Report informs, referring to AFFA.

The event runs from April 21–23 and aims to expand experience-sharing among European countries in developing school football, increasing participation, and engaging children in sports.

Delegations from Azerbaijan, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, and Wales are taking part.

Discussions at the seminar cover the implementation of school football projects, encouraging children's interest in sports from an early age, and promoting inclusivity and gender equality.

The Azerbaijani delegation is learning from successful practices in other countries and participating in interactive sessions.

Such events are part of UEFA's grassroots football strategy, serving to strengthen knowledge and experience-sharing among member associations.
