Pedro Miguel Moura, Acting President of the European Table Tennis Union, has arrived in Baku, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Table Tennis Federation.
Moura is visiting Azerbaijan at the invitation of the federation.
Moura, along with Azerbaijan’s Table Tennis Federation Vice President Elmar Islam and Secretary General Konul Mikayilova, first visited the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor. They also commemorated the memory of prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva and paid tribute to freedom fighters in the Alley of Martyrs.
During his visit, Moura toured the training base of table tennis players, reviewed the facilities, and observed the athletes’ preparation process.
The visit of the Acting President of the European Table Tennis Union to Azerbaijan will conclude on September 20.
