Prosecutor General's Office: Unfavorable weather conditions cause fall of branch in Sheki Khan’s Palace

The General Prosecutor's Office has issued a statement on the incident occurred before the Sheki Khan's Palace.

Report informs citing the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office that the statement reads:

19 people received various degrees of injures as a result of the unexpected fall of about branch of a 500-year-old tree fell on the territory of the Shaki Khan’s Palace.

In this regard, employees of the district Prosecutor's office and experts of the relevant ministries visited the scene, samples of the fallen branch, as well as other important evidence and traces were seized,  the experts' initial opinion was obtained.

By the preliminary conclusion of experts, the branches broke due to adverse weather conditions. Thus, 54% of the monthly norm precipitation was observed (32 mm)on July 14.

According to preliminary examinations, the broken branch was healthy and not exposed to dryness or any physical effects.
