As known, police work in enhanced mode to control compliance with strict quarantine regime introduced in Azerbaijan to prevent the spread of coronavirus pandemic. From the first days, they exercise control over the situation and, therefore, are in close contact with citizens. So, there are cases of infection among police officers.
Report says, two police officers- lieutenant colonel, and police major died at the hospitals in Baku. One of them died on July 1, while the other officer on July 4.
According to the information, the day before the death of the police lieutenant colonel, his mother also passed away.
The press service of the Interior Ministry confirmed the fact to Report.
