New footage of the attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran has been circulated, testifying to the unreliability of the statement by Tehran’s police chief Hossein Rahimi, who previously reported that ‘the attacker entered the embassy with two underage children’, Report informs.
The released video shows the terrorist driving up to the diplomatic corps of Azerbaijan in a car with no children on board. After getting out of the car, the criminal with a Kalashnikov assault rifle in his hands headed to the embassy building.
The incident was recorded by the embassy’s surveillance cameras.
Earlier, Tehran police chief Hossein Rahimi said the attacker entered the embassy with two children. The Tehran police said that the attack was carried out on the basis of family problems and for personal reasons. However, the footage testifies to the opposite: it is more of a planned terror attack.
On the morning of January 27, an armed attack was made on the embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to the information, the attacker, carrying a Kalashnikov assault rifle, entered the embassy building and killed the head of the security service. While preventing the attack, two embassy guards were also injured. The condition of the wounded is assessed as satisfactory.
