Prime Minister: Azerbaijan’s sovereign territory is not a subject of discussion

Azerbaijan’s sovereign territory is not a subject of discussion, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said while responding to the accusations of the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia at the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government in Astana.

The Prime Minister said that Azerbaijan announced the end of the Karabakh conflict after the victory in the 44-day war: “Azerbaijan has liberated its territories and is ready to sign a peace agreement with the neighboring state. The five principles put forward by Azerbaijan were mainly supported by Armenia. From this point of view, we have tried to talk constructively about the issues on the agenda today. However, the biased and gross distortion of the facts about my country by the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia forced me to speak again.”
