Guba District Police conducted a successful operation to expose members of the gang involved in diamond smuggling.
Report informs citing the press service of the Interior Ministry that a group of five people (Akbar Rzayev, Ikram Pirimov, Gullu Nazirova, Azad Rashidov and Emil Janayev) who wanted to sell two pieces of diamonds were detained redhanded. They wanted to sell two pieces of 5 and 7 carat diamonds in Guba for AZN163,000.
A criminal case has been launched on the fact in the Guba district police department.
