Mariupol chairwoman of the Congress of the United Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Afag Hamidova and several other Azerbaijanis are under siege in Mariupol. Over the last five days, contacts were lost with them and no information was available whether or not they are alive.
Report's eastern Europe bureau contacted Afag Hamidova today. She said they are safe and are waiting for a green corridor to leave the city.
"There is almost hell in Mariupol, all the infrastructure has been destroyed, the city is under siege, and artillery fire continues," Afag Hamidova said.
