ANAMA clears 780 hectares of territory of mines in Aghdam

In the city of Aghdam, 780 hectares of territory have been cleared of mines. As a result, 1,850 mines and unexploded ordnance were discovered, Report informs, with reference to Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) Samir Poladov, who spoke at a briefing on the opening of regular bus routes to the liberated territories.

He noted that the road leading to the city of Agdam has been cleared: "The surroundings of the road have also been cleared. According to our data, from 1991 to this day, mines have detonated at 51 points in Agdam, as a result, 24 people have died."

He urged citizens to observe all safety requirements during their visits.
