WSJ: Apple developing new data encryption system

The American company Apple is developing a new data encryption system, Report informs via The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday.

According to her, the company's employees are working on a new end-to-end encryption system called Advanced Data Protection. It will concern the iCloud cloud service and will allow you to fully protect the information stored there even if Apple servers are hacked. At the same time, the company itself will not have access to it and henceforth will not be able to provide users' personal data even to law enforcement agencies.

According to the publication, the system will become available to Apple users in the US at the end of the year, and in 2023 it will be distributed worldwide. In this case, encryption will not work for three functions: e-mail, contact list and calendar.
